I decided to create this blog to be able to express my love for books, as well as to express these feelings with words and writing. I started the website in January 2021 and since I have read more, written more and fallen in love with a community I did not know before. Join me in my search for the perfect book.

I started my journey in 2020 when I read The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa, a hauntingly beautiful novel that captivated my imagination. Little did I know that this would be the catalyst, igniting a passion for reading that would burn fiercely within me for years to come. Since then, I have delved into countless books, hungrily devouring their pages and immersing myself in a world of words. With each passing month, my appetite for literature has grown, and now I find myself devouring ten books in a month.
Throughout my literary explorations, I have stumbled upon numerous treasures that have found a permanent home in the depths of my heart. Distinct and diverse, each has left an indelible mark on my soul. Take, for instance, Kafka on the Shore, a surreal and thought-provoking masterpiece that swept me away on a current of magical realism. Then there is Stoner, a quietly powerful novel that delves into the depths of human existence and the quiet triumphs found amidst life's hardships. But above all, my absolute favourites remain East of Eden by John Steinbeck and Vladimir Nabokov's Despair. Each of these novels is a sprawling epic that weaves together the intricacies of human nature, love, and redemption into an unforgettable tapestry of storytelling.
Fueling my voracious literary appetite is a vision that guides me with unwavering determination. I yearn to share the fruits of my literary explorations, to connect with like-minded individuals who are on the hunt for that perfect book. I have embarked on a quest to curate a collection of recommendations that transcends genres, tastes, and preferences, in hopes that within this treasure trove of words, one can discover the exact book that their weary soul longs for.
